Crispy Potato šŸ„” Wedges is simple to make and all time favourite recipe and very tasty and yummy. This recipe is prepared with potato, spices and fried with oil. Kids friendly recipe and a good appetiser and an evening snack.

Making of Crispy Potato šŸ„” Wedges


Main Ingredients


  1. Potato 4 medium size

  2. All purpose flour 3 tbsp

  3. Corn flour 2 tbsp

  4. Rice flour 1 tbsp

  5. Ginger 1 inch

  6. Garlic 5-6 cloves

  7. Red Chilli powder 1 tbsp

  8. Pepper powder 1 tbsp

  9. Salt to taste

  10. Oil


Potato Backing Process

  1. Slice the potato into wedges, wash it with water to remove the starch

  2. Add cold water and soak it for 1 minute and wash and drain the water

  3. Add water, turmeric, sliced green chilli, mix well and bring it to boil

  4. Add potato in boiling water and half Bake the potato in pressure pan (it should be soft but not fully baked)

  5. Drain the water, spread it on a kitchen towel or muslin cloth and let it dry for about 15-20 minutes

Batter Process

  1. Take a bowl and add corn flour, all purpose flour, rice flour

  2. Add ginger garlic paste

  3. Add red chilli, pepper powder and salt to taste

  4. Give a good mix and add little water and mix

  5. The batter should be in solid consistency (not too thin or too thick)

Crispy Potato Wedges Process


  1. Put the potato in the batter and mix well

  2. Take a tawa and heat oil on a medium flame

  3. When the oil is hot, place the potato and fry till potato becomes golden brown

  4. Turn the sides to get evenly fried and take out

  5. Place it on a kitchen towel or tissue to remove excess oil


Enjoy the delicious Crispy Potato Wedges with tomato sauce !!!!
