Indian Fries (Idly Fry) is simple to make and all time favourite recipe and very crispy and yummy šŸ˜‹. A unique eNalabaag recipe prepared with overnight stored Rice Cake(Idlies). Idly(Rice Cake) is a very common and healthy South Indian recipe which can be prepared as Idly fry with masala mix, stir fried scrambled idly etc.

Note: This recipe is with already prepared Rice Cakes. Make Rice Cakes (Idly) and keep in fridge over night.

Main Ingredients


  1. Rice Cake(Idly) 6 pieces

  2. Oil


Indian Fries

  1. Cut refrigerated Rice Cakes into bytes

  2. Take a kadai and add oil - keep the stove on a medium flame

  3. When oil is hot add rice cakes (Idly) into oil and fry

  4. Turn the sides to get fried evenly

  5. When it turns golden, take out from oil and keep it on a tissue to dry excess oil

  6. Indian fries ready
