Paneer Capsicum Masala


Paneer Capsicum Masala is a yummy recipe which is prepared with paneer and capsicum stir fried with spices. A semi gravy recipe which can be had with chapati, pulav etc.

Making of Paneer Capsicum Masala


Main Ingredients:


  1. Paneer cubes 1 cup

  2. Capsicum 1 cup

  3. Oinon 4 medium size

  4. Corn flour 2 tbsp

  5. All purpose flour 3 tbsp

  6. Ginger 1 inch

  7. Garlic 5-6 cloves

  8. Green chilli 3

  9. Pepper powder 1 tbsp

  10. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp

  11. Turmeric powder a pinch

  12. Vinegar 1 tbsp

  13. Salt to taste

  14. Oil for frying (not in the image)

  15. Tomato sauce






Capsicum Masala process

  1. Take a tawa add 2 tbsp oil and keep it on a medium flame

  2. Add finely chopped ginger, garlic and sliced green chilli and saute till the aroma goes off

  3. Now add finely chopped onion and saute till the onion gets translucent, adding salt at this stage onion gets cooked faster

  4. Add thinly sliced capsicum and saute for a few seconds

  5. Add turmeric and saute

  6. Now add tomato sauce and saute for a few seconds

  7. Add 3/4 cup of water, give a good mix and let it boil on a low flame for 3-4 minutes

  8. Add salt to taste

  9. Now add 1/2 corn flour mixed with 2 tbsp water, add slowly and mix till it gets a semi gravy consistency

  10. Add vinegar and mix well

  11. Check for the taste and add salt, pepper, sauce if required and give a good mix and keep it aside

Shallow frying paneer cubes

  1. Take a bowl add corn flour, All purpose flour, Ginger garlic paste, red chilli, pepper powder and salt

  2. Add little water and give a good mix

  3. Take paneer cubes and coat it into the batter

  4. Take a tawa add 2-3 tbsp oil and keep it on a medium flame

  5. Put the coated paneer mix on the tawa and shallow fry for 3-4 minutes

  6. Turn the sides to get fried evenly

  7. Add the fried panner cubes in capsicum masala and mix well


Enjoy the delicious Paneer Capsicum Masala and serve hot with chapati, peas pulav etc. !!!!
