Rava Milk Mellows is a variety of sweet and all time favourite one for all Indian functions. This sweet is made with rava and sugar.

Making of Rava Milk Mellows


Main Ingredients:

  1. Rava - 1 cup (roasted)

  2. Milk - 3 cups 

  3. Sugar - 2 cups

  4. Water 3 cups

  5. Ghee - 5 tbsp

  6. Cardamom  - 3 

  7. Saffron - for colour (optional)

Rava Milk Mellows Process

  1. Take 1 cup of roasted rava in tawa and add 3 cups of milk and stir it continuously without forming any lumps. Keep the stove on a medium flame

  2. When rava is cooked add 5 tbsp of ghee give a good mix and switch off the flame

  3. Now roll this dough into small ball size and keep it aside

Sugar Syrup


  1. In a vessel, take 2 cups of sugar and 3 cups of water and bring it to boil for 10 min

  2. Once the sugar syrup is slightly thick consistency, add cardamom and a pinch of saffron

  3. Switch off the flame and and let it cool

Rava Mellow Fry





  1. Take oil in a tawa and fry the rava mellows, keep the stove on a medium flame

  2. Once the rava mellows have become golden brown, take out from oil and soak it in the sugar syrup

  3. Let the rava mellows get soaked in Sugar syrup for 2 hours
